Rules
Field play
Each possession has four downs. Flick from where the ball lies.
A touchdown is 6 when the ball comes to rest with any part hanging over the opponent’s end — and the center of mass still on the table.
If the ball falls off any edge, it is a turnover. The opponent starts on their own edge.
Turnover on downs: the opponent keeps the ball where it stopped and flicks the other way.
Kicking
After a touchdown, one extra-point kick from midfield is worth 1.
On fourth down you may attempt a field goal worth 3 from the current spot, or go for the touchdown.
Stand the triangle on a point and flick it through the finger posts. Over the thumbs and between the uprights is good — including a kick that sails a bit above the fingertips. A carom off an upright still counts if it continues through.
A miss or a ball that hits the table first is no good. After any score or missed kick, the other player starts from their edge.
Winning
First to 21, or most points when the five-minute clock expires.
A timed tie is broken by alternating field goals until someone leads after an equal number of kicks.
