Case no. 001 / The missing sandwich
Writ ofCombat
A courtroom RPG where your client is a goose, the charge is grand theft sandwich, and the judge allows trial by combat. Argue your case, or settle it with your fists.
The clerk · All rise
Yes, even the goose.
You are Ada Quill: defense attorney, reluctant bird person, and your client’s last hope of avoiding six months in the municipal pond.
Your client is Goose “Honk” Gander. The charge is grand theft sandwich. Opposing counsel is Basil Bluster, and he is very confident about it.
It plays as a dialogue RPG until it doesn’t: talk your way through five exchanges, pick your answers carefully, and if the case goes sideways, the courtroom turns into a fighting game.
■ Case notes Under Municipal Code 8-Bit, an attorney losing badly may demand trial by combat. The winner wins the case. Appeals must be submitted in the form of a rematch.
